Stay and Play at Clydesdale Outpost

We spend our 5 year wedding anniversary here. The ranch is beautiful, the cabins are new and decorated modern with old touches like a record player with records and a working type writer. It's quiet the views are wonderful. The Clydesdales are beautiful and such amazing animals. We took a carriage ride around the property. They have 92 acres! Close enough to town but far enough out to be in the country. It's a great getaway in Montana. Can't wait to go back.

Just returned from the most incredible vacation! Riding and connecting with Clydesdales has been a lifelong dream of mine, and this weekend I was surrounded by these majestic beauties! Feeling so rejuvenated and grateful for the unforgettable moments spent with this gorgeous herd. The staff treated us like family, and the owner was an absolute joy to chat with! Everything was so clean and stunning—it truly is the most amazing place! Can’t wait to make more memories at Clydesdale Outpost! Until next time!

Our visit here was amazing! It was my dream to ride a Clydesdale and Clydesdale Outpost made it happen. The Clydesdales were beautiful gentle and fascinating horses. Carly was our wrangler and she was awesome! She taught us so much about the horses-how to ride, the tack, the area, the outpost itself. She was professional, kind and fun! Kacey was amazing as well. She taught us a lot about the history and the area too. She made sure we had everything we needed. The cabins were top notch! Everything you need and then some, super clean and so relaxing. The views were amazing. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the record player! The barn is very nice. The ranch cat was quite entertaining. The baby horses were so playful friendly and beautiful. I rode Destiny and my husband rode Helena (aka Snood). They were perfect! So smooth! The owners have done an excellent job with the Clydesdale Outpost. I highly recommend staying here. We cannot wait to come back! It’s only a few miles from downtown Whitefish. Loved it!

My family and I had an amazing time at Clydesdale Outpost! The cabin, barn, horses, and staff were all amazing. We will never forget the family carriage ride, horseback ride, Clydesdale snuggles, photoshoot, and sitting on the cabin porch as we watched the horses graze. The hot tub and fire pit are an extra bonus! Whitefish is minutes away and has so many great dining opportunities and Glacier National Park is not far. We highly recommend Clydesdale Outpost and hope to return!

What a magical place! This was a visit of a lifetime! Amazing accommodation, nested in a beautiful valley sprinkled with first autumn color, and of course the majestic Clydesdales. The Outpost team was amazing. Friendly, inviting, and very knowledgeable about their horses. It was a pleasure spending time with them, chatting while riding, feeding, and brushing the gentle giants. The quaint city of Whitefish is close by and invites shopping strolls, good food, and of course the Clydesdale creamy with amazing milkshakes and other elaborately decorated desserts. Glacier National Park is a scenic 45-minute drive away and invites short walks and longer hikes. The private soaking tub at the end of the day was a dream, and the northern lights were the cherry on top. Our Stillwater cabin was the luxury home away from home. Every detail thought of, reading in front of the fireplace or listening to some vinyl while making breakfast, was medicine for the brain. I am looking forward to the next visit already!
