What an absolute amazing experience. The pilot was incredible! Blake did a great job educating us and keeping us safe and comfortable. The crew were so kind and helpful they took photos, gave us blankets, and provide us with snacks and drinks. They told us some local information to help us get to know the area better. The captain was also super knowledgeable and very helpful. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend. I can’t imagine a better way to experience Lake Tahoe, then a hot air balloon ride on top of a boat

Not only will you get to see Tahoe from above, you’ll get to ride on a boat on the lake before any others are out. You get to experience not only seeing the lake from above, you get to do so while floating peacefully and quietly in the air. I highly recommend this experience!

Absolutely the most breathtaking views of beautiful Lake Tahoe! This was our first hot air balloon ride and it won’t be our last! Defiantly an experience of a lifetime you will not forget!

I’m convinced that there isn’t a more picturesque place in the world to go ballooning than Lake Tahoe. And Lake Tahoe Balloons knows how to do it right. It is the only place in the world where you launch and land from a boat – it’s a specially designed vessel that’s kind of like the aircraft carrier in Top Gun. The cost is admittedly a bit higher than ballooning in other cities – but you’re getting a boat ride on the lake AND a balloon ride in one experience. The views are beyond stunning; imagine floating above the highest snow-capped peaks in Tahoe. While the views were phenomenal, so, too, was the crew. Watching the team inflate a gigantic yellow balloon on the upper deck of a boat in the middle of the lake is something you really have to see to believe. The entire team was amazing – accommodating, genuine and fun; you can tell they all were really happy to be sharing the experience with us. The ride back to the marina included a champagne (or apple cider) toast to celebrate the first ride of the 2025 season. Checking this off our bucket list now. 10/10 would recommend; not just once, but over and over again.

This was 2 years in the making, a wedding gift from my sister. And this did not disappoint!! First, the crew are amazing! The skill it takes to inflate/deflate a balloon on a moving vessel!! The captain’s skill to chase to balloon, expertly line up a 100’ ‘aircraft carrier’ and have it land gracefully, is a skill to be admired. The pilot has had over 4800 flights without incident, has a great personality, shares so many amazing sites and stories. We just could not ask for more. Oh wait, then there’s simply the views, and the serenity of free floating over lake and forest. Highly recommend this experience! But do note, that they only fly when the weather is safe to do so…
