Itinerary

  1. Start: Park at the Paradise Jackson Visitor Center.
  2. Trailhead: Begin the hike at the Skyline Trail behind Paradise Inn.
  3. Hike: Follow the trail 0.2 miles into the woods, then join the Skyline Trail heading northeast.
  4. Viewpoint: Continue 0.2 miles to the Myrtle Falls Viewpoint.
  5. Return: Retrace your steps back to Paradise Inn.

    Visited June 2026. Don't follow the GPS here or you won't make it. Park at the visitor center and pick up the trailhead outside the visitor center. One of the busiest hikes in the area. It is paved and uphill to get there. The waterfall is beautiful with Mt Rainier in the background. It is a steep downhill to get to the viewing area.

    Breathtaking. I’ve been to this location in various types of weather. From an overcast sky, where it was raining and you couldn’t see Mount Rainier at all. Still beautiful. The air is so pure and fresh you never wanna leave. I recently went just a few days ago in July and it was a blue sky with a really hot sun and nice cool air coming off the mountain. Absolutely worth the drive.

    What a Magical place ✨✨✨ I got here on a cloudy and foggy day and the experience was extraordinary. The fog made everything dreamy. It was especially quiet with only birds chirping and deer walking nearby. The Mountain View was under a vail and such an invitation to come back to see whats behind it. I got drip coffee at the Paradise Inn coffee shop and went for an easy walk to the falls. Cozy experience. The road is paved and is clearly marked. There is a set of pretty steep stairs to get to this view. Yet, if you walk further, you get to the bridge above this spot and it has gorgeous view of its own without any stairs.

    A short hike to the falls, but make sure there isn't too much snow. The viewpoint for Myrtle Falls was closed during my visit due to the amount of snow, but the area still offered an amazing view. Highly recommend during your visit in the park.

    Myrtle Falls was beautiful and such an easy hike! Parking was a bit of a struggle though. We had to come back later in the afternoon before we finally found a parking spot. It was definitely worth the wait! We had such a fun time hiking and making memories with the family. ❤️
