Went on black Friday, it was perfect sunny day with clear views of Mt Rainier, Mt Adam, Mt Hood and Mt St Helen. The road to trailhead had some icy sections so we just took it slow. Trail was not busy, only about 6 cars when we arrived at 10am. The trail was so well maintained, patches of snow starts about half way up, most part of the rocks below the lookout platform were even snow free.

I got to hike here on evening and was lucky to witness beautiful full moon rise. It was snowing and the hike through pristine snow was a transcendental experience. And finally, the views of Mount Saint Helens, Mount Adams and Mount Rainier were excellent. If you plan to hike here, make sure you do it on a clear day to have these views.

Did this hike for the sunrise and it did not disappoint! The hike up was intense, but the sunrise was absolutely gorgeous and I really enjoyed hiking back down. The last rock scramble to get to the lookout is tricky, I got off trail and it was rough to get back on in the descent.

Great views! Love, making a sunrise or sunset hike. Great leg burner hike with 1,300 feet elevation gain in 1.6 miles. On a clear Day you can see Mount Rainier, Mount Saint Helens, Mount Adams, Mount Hood.

Perfect hike for a perfect day. No clouds, perfect view. 7/1/23, Moderate hike for sure. Straight steady incline for a little less than 2 miles, with the ending being a rock climb. Small children and dogs may not be able to make it to the top for this reason (we say a couple turn back). Took about 1.5 hours ascend with a 40 minute descent. Great look out spots. Only about 20 parking spots though
