This was our second visit to Silver Falls State Park, and it was just as beautiful as we remembered — maybe even better this time around. Our first visit was a few years ago during summer break. While it was gorgeous, it was also very crowded, and the waterfalls didn’t have nearly as much water flowing. This year, we decided to visit in May while the waterfalls were still full, and it was absolutely worth it. We completed the full loop trail, about 8 miles total, and the hike felt very manageable with only mild elevation gain. The trail was pleasant and well-maintained, and seeing all 10 waterfalls along the route kept us motivated the entire way. Knowing another waterfall was coming within a mile made the hike feel exciting and rewarding. The trail was definitely busy, but it never felt overwhelming. Most sections were wide enough for people to comfortably pass in both directions, and occasionally stopping for others was never a problem. Every single waterfall was magnificent — powerful, full of water, and incredibly beautiful. We were lucky to have amazing weather too, which made the whole experience even better. This park is truly one of Oregon’s treasures, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again next year.

Such a beautiful place to camp. Nice clean bathroom and shower rooms. You can start the hike to South Falls from the campsite if you're camping at the site. Plenty of parking space at the parking lot. It's worth a hike once you see the falls. Definitely start your hike from South Falls... Beautiful area however as with everything in our state now... parking can be packed on nice days but at least the trails aren't too crowded. Expect steep elevation changes as you climb in and out of the canyon to the water.
