We arrived early for the sunrise. Took the boat out on the first ride. Highly recommend avoiding lines get there early. The first boat to the island was 7 am and were so thankful we did that. We can.e back and the line was super long.

Jenny Lake is a very busy location from 800am-230pm. If planning for boat to hidden springs waterfalls, plan 30-60 minutes on top of hiking times into your trip times. Parking is a zoo, at peak you risk circling lots and getting stuck..or park alongside road and have a significant walk into area. Our crew of 5, ranging age 4-65 opted for hiking to falls (2.4 miles + 0.3 miles). This took 1 hour 30 minutes with brief stop and a consistent pace. The perimeter trail does have ups and downs but overall well graded. We took boat back (40 minute wait for ride at 1pm). The waterfall extension is shorter when coming from trail. Well graded. Inspiration point extension (0.5miles) is moderate in nature with final switchbacks over smooth uneven granite rock. It offers expanded views of lake. There's more majestic views driving honestly. We regret running out of time and not doing the canyon trail extension. Peers coming back by boat had robust animal viewings extending 1 mile into the canyon trail including bear, elk, and moose.

Got there early took the boat across the lake to hike the hidden falls and up to inspiration point. We chose to walk the 2 miles back along Jenny Lake but you can go 5 miles around the other side if you choose. Its a 7 mile hike around the lake. There is a 20 dollar round trip boat fee or 15 for one way
