An enjoyable experience! Not too crowded we went on a Friday from 3-5! They have beginner areas a larger general area and then a nice track around there reserved rinks! Also For people out of state I think it’s cool to skate around seeing these people who skate like nothing playing hockey was very cool! Paid $40 total equaled Two admissions and Two skate rentals! $15 admissions/ $5 ski rental Not bad!! Also have beginner stabilizers for those who haven’t ice skate before or in a while!

**CALL AHEAD** some days it's too warm for them to open the rink and you wont know until you drive there that they arent open. That being said- it's so much fun! I promptly fell on my butt, and I'm not the only one, this is definitely a good place for people who dont skate. They have plowed "groomed" skating track you can go around on complete with small rinks (that you can reserve?) and some hockey goals as well. They have the walkers for beginners and they rent figure and ice hockey skates. With admission and rentals for 2 we paid roughly $40. They close after dark so the area is lit up with field lights. Great date night idea!

Enjoyed Evergreen lake today -- when it was 30 degrees, frosty white and very cold in Boulder/Erie, it was beautiful, sunny and warmer at Evergreen lake (if just a bit windy). Skating/ice conditions were better than expected for not being groomed by the Zamboni yet this year (ice is not thick enough). It was definitely solid enough and felt safe, even with sun and 45 degrees. No slush at all. As expected, there are some long continuous cracks throughout the surface that will catch your blade if you don't keep your eyes on what's in front of you (sun reflection definitely helped highlight where they were). We lasted just over an hour skating, felt long enough. Despite the figure skates looking to be in very good shape (maybe even new this year?), our ankles did hurt initially -- I think this is normal unless you skate a lot, so be sure to bring your thickest socks. You can store your shoes/things in wall cubbies (no paid lockers), seemed safe enough, although we used our canvas bags to keep belongings out of sight. No chairs etc. inside, just benches for changing shoes/skates. We got there about 10:15am, and parking lot was full, but no line at all to get ticket/skates. You can park elsewhere and take their shuttle to the lake. They opened at 9am on a Saturday (as stated on website), but still call the hotline number before showing up, in case of changing weather conditions. Admission + rental was $20. Lots of areas to skate around the smaller (hockey) rinks, never felt crowded, overall it was worth the money. Just really wish the nice lake house was open for hot chocolate and non-skaters to hang out and relax (I remember that a few years ago - maybe Covid days changed that permanently?). Would make for a more authentic lake experience in the winter! My husband who doesn't skate sat in the car and waited for us - would have been great to have somewhere else to relax in warmth while waiting. Please consider opening the lake house again!

The evergreen rink was awesome! It was my first time skating on a real natural lake, so cool! Definitely call in advance to ensure it’s open, because they are very weather depended bc it’s all natural. The skate rental and admission fee came out to $17 a person. There was plenty of space to skate around, and a bunch of blocked off circular hockey rings for the kids! The parking was a nightmare on the holiday weekend - use the shuttle lot! I’m attaching a photo of directions to the shuttle lot. So worth the trip!

This was the quintessential outdoors ice skating experience we hoped to find. The staff was friendly and efficient, there were plenty of places to skate even on a Sunday and it was overall a great time!
