Shoshone Falls Park in Idaho is breathtaking, and if you go at the right time when the sun is out, you can catch a rainbow hovering over the falls. Kayaking and paddle boarding are accessible from the shoreline, but we didn't have time to do so. This is a quick stop, but a wonderful photo opportunity with friends and family! The park has a cute little souvenir shop. Almost entirely dog friendly! 8/10

We drove up the hill from Shoshone Falls to Dierkes Lake on the Snake River for a picnic after visiting the falls. It has a peaceful picnic area with a few tables, a protected swimming area, a diving board, and pretty grassy area.
