We absolutely loved everything about our stay—the service, the location, and the overall atmosphere. The accommodations were very clean, and the shared shower and bathroom facilities were also well maintained. It got a little chilly at night, but the heated mattress pad kept us warm and cozy, and we slept very comfortably. We also really appreciated the simple breakfast and coffee provided in the morning. We had such a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

Fan-flipping-tastic! What an amazing getaway. We stayed in E-11 and am hooked on glamping now. The entire place is tidy & pleasant & upscale. Bed was super comfy and warm. You could hear the highway below which I didn’t imagine from the pictures but it was so cool I let that go. Highly recommended. I was sending pics to my friends the whole time saying they gotta come here!!!

Brilliant place! Safari Tent Rooms are very well appointed - electrical sockets; ridiculously comfortable beds with electric blankets; mirror and table; hanging rail; private porch, personal fire pits with BBQ option! Truly excellent. Very good shared facilities - clean, private showers with high end shampoos and washes, vases of flowers everywhere to give a very sophisticated feel for glamping; smart looking outdoor futniture. Excellent location - just a 15 min walk / 2 min drive into Mendocino town & right next to Big River for magical canoeing in the wild. It was a heavenly stay and would highly recommend. Things to note: the “family” area are the tents by the breakfast cafe - these do not have a view of the sea. The lower “P” and “N” tents look through the woodland onto the Pacific and are more adult orientated. For reference - we stayed in P8. Breakfast is simple - porridge (oatmeal) with toppings or boiled eggs or banana bread. It would have been good to have some toast to go with the boiled eggs but not the end of the world.

This place is fabulous. The staff is beyond friendly. I was looking for a last minute place for the weekend, and was calling around. I got through to Ingrid at The Grove who exemplified superior customer service skills and was extremely professional and accommodating. Although Ingrid was at The Grove, she happily and quickly booked me a room at The Cove, (as the Grove was sold out for the weekend) both which are beautiful properties. Ingrid, thank you so much. I am looking forward to my stay and hoping Ingrid gets recognition (and maybe a raise) for being so amazing. Thank you Mendocino Grove & Cove!!!

Mendocino Grove is not just a place to stay — it is a place to experience. It captures the best of the Mendocino Coast: redwoods, ocean air, firelight, thoughtful design, and a relaxed but sophisticated sense of hospitality. The tents are comfortable and tastefully done, the beds are cozy, the bathrooms and showers are impressively clean, and the property has that rare feeling of being both communal and private. Morning coffee, evenings by the fire, hammocks, wooded paths, and easy access to Mendocino all make the stay feel beautifully considered. This is glamping done properly: not a gimmick, not a hotel in costume, but a curated outdoor retreat with real atmosphere. For travelers who appreciate design, nature, and a strong sense of place, Mendocino Grove is a destination in itself.
