Walk Through the Waterfalls at Watkins Glen

My husband and I are from Connecticut. Driving there was quite a long journey for my husband, especially since he is not particularly fond of driving. However, when we arrived and he saw the park in person, he was completely captivated by its beauty. The scenery was even more breathtaking than the pictures we had seen on the website. It was truly a sight to behold. The drive was worthy. We are definitely coming back. One thing to note is that the pathways can be quite slippery, so it is important to be cautious when walking up and down them. Aside from that, the waterfalls, streams, rocks, and overall view of the park are simply stunning.

A very beautiful place to visit in the fall. The Gorge Trail is very picturesque and has 19 different waterfalls. The hike isn’t that difficult but I could see it being hard for those with mobility issues, older people, or those hiking in the heat. It is very congested though, so be ready to deal with crowds of nice people, rude people, and everything in between. It’s very popular for good reason - it’s stunning.

I'm disabled, and my wife wanted to go to the park. We took the shuttle to the top and took our time coming down. If you have a disability and going up the hill is hard for you. I highly recommend starting at the top and taking your time on your way down. Don't get in the water because you will be yelled at by a teenager to stay on the trail. My 8 year old wanted to feel the water temperature. The park teen was rude about it. The park itself is beautiful, is not a wheelchair accessible place at all, but of you can walk a mile and half by taking your time, they are places where you can take a break and sit down. The shuttle driver was fun and knowledge. Have some cash available so you can tip her, as she will tell you about the park on your way up. Have a good pair of sneakers or hiking boots because in some areas, it is wet, sure to small waterfalls, some parts of the trails are not very wide, so I will recommend no strollers Take the time to appreciate the views of the park and be safe. Bring lunch, and if the weather is nice, go in the Olympic size pool in the middle of the park. Once you pay for your parking for the day, you can ride and just show your ticket, so you don't have to pay again. My family and I had a great time.

One of the most breathtaking natural wonders I’ve ever encountered. The cascading waterfalls and picturesque trails provide stunning views at every turn. The trails are thoughtfully laid out, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surroundings. I highly recommend starting at the upper level and taking the Gorge Trail for an up-close experience of the waterfalls and rugged cliffs. You can begin on the upper trail and descend to the lower one. During our visit on Tuesday, September 3, the shuttle service wasn’t operational, which was a slight inconvenience. The park charges a $10 fee for entry and parking, and it’s exceptionally well-maintained with spotless restrooms and clear signage, including emergency markers along the trails. The staff at the entrance were incredibly kind and helpful, providing great guidance for exploring the park.
