First time here in over 40 years. I loved it. Never went across the bridge as a child but I went across it on this visit. Gorgeous views!

The bridge is very well built and the veil is amazing. The bridge is narrow so it's a tight squeeze to pass people walking the opposite way. There is also a small rocky trail after you walk across the bridge where there is no buildings or structures to block the view but it is a rough trail. There is also a small museum and gift shop at the exit too.

It was a great view of only it wasn't foggy and raining. The animal habitat was cool. They had Elk,Black Bears, Bald Eagles, Otters and Cougars. Pretty cool to see them so close. I will come again when the weather is better

The mile high bridge is a cool experience for all ages. I visited in February and it was very cold and windy but still enjoyable. At that time the hiking trails were all closed due to snow. The science center and animal enclosures were a bit underwhelming but the drive up to the bridge had beautiful views. Overall, my family enjoyed our experience at Grandfather Mountain.

Absolutely amazing views from the top after you've crossed the bridge and get to the peak. Plenty of parking at the top. There's a gift shop and there is an elevator to take you up to the bridge If you have issues with walking up stairs.
