Larry was our guide and he was phenomenal. He pointed out landmarks all over and encouraged different hikes and places for us to visit. He was very encouraging and made for a great walk. It was windy and I’m glad I had my jacket and beanie on. You can bring your phone for as many photos as you like. They had lanyards to purchase in the store for your phone if you felt safer that way. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to come again in the summer or fall and see how beautiful everything is not in the dead of winter.

Walking under the bridge was such an interesting experience. I feel like I learnt a lot both about engineering and West Virginia while looking at some epic views. For those that are worried about heights, don’t be! You’re strapped in and the walk takes place on a sturdy metal catwalk built into the bridge itself. It was a very safe experience. Ernie was a great guide and did his best to take as many pictures as he could during the experience. The only issue I had was I found the price a bit high for the experience but other than that if you are looking for an activity to do with your family I highly recommend the bridge walk. It is an easy, safe walk under the New River Gorge Bridge.

I’m scared of heights! and I did it! You are strapped in, the cat walk is solid and not a grate. Misty was grate! Ha. Very knowledgeable about the area and very confident in her ability with getting everyone tethered in and comfortable. Highly recommend. I got a lot of pictures!! Misty takes a lot too and shared with us all.

This was one of my favorite activities at New River Gorge. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our guide was Bob, and he was great! Loved his dad jokes and insights on the bridge and the area. Our group was relatively small, 8 people, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Although it seemed scary at first, you're actually very secure. There are handrails on both sides, and there's a security harness that you're attached to. This is one of the few bridges in the world that you can walk it do I would definitely recommend anyone who visits New River Gorge NP to do it!

My 8 year old daughter and I went on a tour with Kalila and we had a fantastic time. It was a great mixture of walking and enjoying the scenery and moments of her sharing facts and information - perfect amount of each! It’s $75 per person but how many chances do you get in life to walk on the catwalk of a bridge over 800 feet in the air? TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE! It felt incredibly safe and was not scary at all - my 8 year old daughter loved it! 8 years old is the youngest who can go on the tour and must be 48 inches tall but I felt it was extremely kid friendly! Once in a lifetime experience and a must do if ever in West Virginia!
