Float down the World's Longest Lazy River at Waco Surf

Came here with a buddy last week, and we had a blast. We went to the six flags water park in Ft Worth this week, and the stark difference really made me appreciate Waco Surf. The Waco Surf Attendants/life guards are way more attentive and competent. The staff are friendlier and more helpful. The facilities are nicer. While there are fewer slides, they're way (like, not even close) more fun, and for me, a much much better deal. We got a cabin, which makes everything that much more affordable, which is so nice. I cannot recommend Waco Surf enough, and I highly recommend staying at the cabins/hotel if you're not local, you won't regret it!

Jay, the instructor, was awesome and is experienced: Listen to him, and you'll actually get up! If you're thinking about taking surfing lessons, you will discover that you absolutely have to have a reservation. From what I understand, they are open until Christmas Eve, and the crowd dies off after August. When the weather is hot, so is the water; stay hydrated! The water slides are more than you would expect. I went off the second highest one and completely wiped out. The second highest one actually launches you the farthest in the air. The highest one launches you the longest distance. I have been sore for almost a week! There is nothing that's really middle of the road activity wise. It's either the pool and lazy river or learning to surf, wakeboarding, and going down slides. I'm not a lazy river guy, but those who are tell me it is fantastic and very long. You will have to get out to get a beverage

This place is very fun! Me, my husband, and my kids had such a great time. The only thing is is that we had such a long wait time. However, there was a nice young man named Brian that made the experience very pleasant. He was very reassuring and helped us get our tickets, as well as getting through smoothly. We will definitely be visiting as a family again soon!

My family stayed here for one night and my kids and I attended a beginner session while staying at WacoSurf this spring. The facility is amazing and the instructors were the best we have had surfing anywhere. They were informative, helpful and extremely supportive. We surfed at noon and had stayed the night. It was thoroughly enjoyable to watch some of the advanced and professional surfers in their early morning sessions. The rooms with the view of the surf pool were great and the breakfast food truck for breakfast tacos were lights out. We really hope we get a chance to go back and try out more of the facility during the summer months. Highly recommend if you are touring through Texas.

"Priority surf credit" is a joke. If they cancel your surf session, they try to squeeze you in whenever they feel like it. We were booked for 4pm today, they tried to reschedule our surf session for 6pm tomorrow night. We live 6 hours away and are visiting for the weekend. They cancelled for lightning within 10 miles. The weather was perfectly fine. Not a drop of rain of lightning to be seen. They restarted the surf session at 5pm today. There's zero reason why my husband couldn't surf at 5pm given the "priority" surf session he was supposed to receive. Watwr in the surf area was positively dirty and disgusting. They charge and INSANE amount for board rentals it came out to over $75 for the hour rental. Never coming back here. Wouldn't recommend to anyone wasting their time or money coming from out of town. They only care about making a buck and not customer service. Haven't received a single refund for any of the charges they made to our card for goods and service that weren't rendered.
