Dive into the Heart of Devil's Den

Visiting Devil’s Den Spring was an unforgettable experience. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by a unique atmosphere unlike any other diving or snorkeling spot in Florida. The underground spring is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water that allows you to see every detail beneath the surface. The rock formations and shafts of sunlight filtering through the opening create a magical, almost surreal scene. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and ensures that you feel safe and prepared, whether you’re snorkeling or scuba diving. The water is refreshingly cool, which is perfect on a hot Florida day, and the visibility is outstanding. It’s also a great spot for taking incredible underwater photos. While the facilities are simple, they are clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend Devil’s Den Spring to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, natural beauty, and a truly unique Florida experience.

I’ve visited similar places in Mexico, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. The water is beautiful, the vibe is chill, and it’s a great place to escape for a bit. Just make sure to book your tickets in advance — they often sell out for the whole upcoming week. We managed to get the earliest available slot at 8:00 AM. We were on a motorcycle road trip from Miami and arrived a bit late, but no worries — you get 1.5 hours from the time you check in. So if you’re running behind, it’s not a big deal. You can rent masks and wetsuits on-site, or bring your own gear if you prefer. We also booked a campsite here (it was $44 for a tent site), but ended up staying in a hotel instead. Still, the campground looked nice and well-organized. Overall, the atmosphere was great peaceful and worth the trip.

We had a great time hitting the food trucks and snorkeling the underground spring. It was a pretty amazing site. You can rent snorkel gear but bring some anti fog for the masks. The masks stayed fogged up so it was hard to see in the water. Nice scenic ride through horse country to get to the location also! It’s best to make reservations if it’s crowded

What a great area that you can camp at or just visit for the day. We arrived and thankfully had our own snorkel gear, so we luckily did not need reservations, but definitely recommend if you need dive suits and gear. Although time was limited in the underground cave, I felt it was sufficient. We then went to Pavillion where we packed our lunch and enjoyed the lagoon. Be careful in the lagoon as there are underwater rocks and walls that are not clearly visible and can be a hazard. People used the restrooms for changing which created a backup but thankfully it was not a busy day. I recommend adding changing areas only. The property has beautiful scenery and waterfalls. We did not have any children with us, but I do believe the cave may be a bit overwhelming for some children but quite beautiful.

I have researched this location for a long time, and it was everything I expected. We stayed in the RV Camping area and enjoyed the full RV hook up. Great reception for those who just can't get away. The tail end of the 4th of July weekend means more people, but we stayed through to take advantage of the diving inside Devil's Den. Snorkeling is by appointment only! Dive shop on site was able to get my dive buddy completely outfitted for the spring water temperature of 22°C./ 72°F. Rental shop on-site with tank refills. Camping can fill up, so check ahead to schedule your visit. Bring what you need for a full day adventure or longer. I plan to make a return!
