Itinerary

Start at the trailhead at Mileposts 339.5 to 340.2 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Choose your trail: a 1.8-mile round trip for a direct route or a 2.5 to 3-mile loop for a more exploratory hike.
Follow the marked trails to the 60-foot waterfall, enjoying the wildflower scenery along the way.
Spend time at the falls for photos and relaxation.
Return via the same path or complete the loop if on the longer trail.

About a 2.5 mi loop on fairly steep rocky and rooted trails and very much worth the effort. Beautiful scenery an absolutely stunning waterfall

First time visiting the falls and it did not disappoint!!! The trek was a little difficult, but only because we were slightly out of shape. I recommend bringing a picnic and enjoy the scenery!

Crabtree Falls on the Blue Ridge Parkway was wonderful. It’s close to a 2.5 miles round trip hike to the falls from the trailhead. It took us around an hour for the round trip hike. Going down, it’s around a mile and coming back it’s around 1.5 miles. Going to the falls is easier than the trip back which can seem moderate to strenuous because of the uphill hike. There are some pretty sights along the way, and the terrain is for the most part, rugged. The hike to the falls is dog friendly, and they’re required to be on a leash. Overall, it’s a pretty waterfall on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and one worth stopping and hiking to. We loved visiting this waterfall.

Amazing, Incredible Fall!! This wasn't in the plan. Just we had time and it was on the way, so we stopped by. To reach the actual fall you have to walk 0.9 Miles one way. The trail is pretty decent and the path is through the trees. Be careful as the path is a little bit muddy and slippery. Once you reach Fall, the view is just Mind Blowing. Nature at its best. The view just lets you forget your tiredness. While coming back we took another path which was very painful as it was all uphill and 1.9 miles to the parking lot. Trail hike is Moderate.

We hit several waterfalls in the area and this was my favorite. Not the biggest but you can get right up next to it. 3-4 mile round trip hike. Trail is rocky in parts and a some steep incline at parts.
