Silent World Key Largo: Dive, Snorkel, and Certify in Paradise

I had such an incredible experience with this snorkeling tour—I actually ended up booking it twice on different days because I loved the first trip so much! Captain Brad and first mate Ashlynn were absolutely amazing. They were fun, welcoming, and did a great job of making sure everyone on board felt comfortable and had a great time. From the moment we set out, they created such a relaxed, positive atmosphere and were always kind, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire trip. Each tour included three different snorkeling sites, and every stop felt unique and exciting. I saw so many different types of sea life across both trips, and it truly felt like such a special experience being able to explore those environments. One thing I really appreciated was how safe I felt the entire time—I could fully relax and enjoy being in the water knowing I was in good hands. Both trips were equally amazing, which says a lot. It’s rare to have an experience be so good that you immediately want to do it again, but this was absolutely one of those times. I had so much fun, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I would highly recommend booking with this charter if you’re considering a snorkeling tour. And if you happen to get Captain Brad and/or Ashlynn on your boat, consider yourself lucky—you’re in for a truly unforgettable experience!

Learned about Christ Of The Abyss from a guidebook while planning a trip to the Florida Keys. Found Silent World online while researching snorkel excursions to see the statue. My wife and I chose the two reef trip, which was a three-hour excursion. Everything about Silent World and the tour itself was perfect. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, our Captain (Brad) and first mate (Michael) were informative and entertaining and made the entire experience feel comfortable and rewarding. My wife had never been snorkeling before and they made it easy for her to learn the basics. The two locations were mind-blowing. I cannot describe the feeling of seeing the statue of Christ in the water for the first time. We are Catholic and seeing this image of Our Lord in this setting, surrounded by all of the underwater life was a very moving experience for us. We even swam with a shark! Which wasn't scary at all due to Captain Brad's thorough explanation of shark behavior. The boat ride was pleasant, all equipment needed was provided (including snacks!), and the time in the water was more than enough to make memories that will last a lifetime. And we even saw Manatee back at the dock who swam up to enjoy the fresh water while Captain Brad rinsed the boat. We would happily return to Silent World on future trips to the Keys, and will recommend them to friends as well!

We had an amazing experience with Silent World Dive Center! The entire team is fantastic super friendly, welcoming, and very organized from start to finish. The boat was clean and well-maintained, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The check-in office is spotless, and I really appreciated how clean and well kept everything was, including the bathrooms. It shows how much they care about their guests’ comfort. They also provide reef-safe sunscreen, which is such a thoughtful touch you don’t have to worry about bringing your own or harming the reef. I brought my own equipment, but after seeing how thoroughly they clean and disinfect theirs, I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from them next time. Overall, this is absolutely the right place to plan your next snorkeling or diving adventure. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best snorkeling trips we have ever experienced. The water was unreal and we were so close to so many different kinds of fish. Its was definitely pricey but so worth it! We got there, checked in, they have bathrooms there to change at that were clean, and then a pump station for reef-safe sunscreen which we loaded up on. Then we boarded the ship which was pretty packed but the staff were all great. We went to three different locations and I feel like we had just enough time at each place (though I identify as a mermaid so I probably would have stayed there forever). The last place we went to was the lighthouse and it was my absolute favorite! We also went to one of the ship wrecks and the Christ of the Abyss. I didn’t love the Christ of Abyss one as much as the other two just because of how crazy busy that location was—my son got shoved and smacked by accident a few times in the water by other people but that’s obviously not Silent Worlds fault. In between each snorkel stop they provided us free pops and little baggies of chips and they also have a big cooler of water. There are no bathrooms on the boat though which I had originally been worried about with a several hour snorkel trip with a kid but it wasn’t an issue 😅 we saw sea turtles, rays, the biggest barracuda I’ve ever seen, colorful corals and so many different fish 🐠. We got some incredible pictures and made some great memories. I’d definitely recommend diving with Silent World!

We had a great time on our trip to the Keys with snorkeling and seeing Christ of the Abyss as the highlight! Captain Aaron and Emily entertained us with awesome dad jokes and a soundtrack for every step of the tour starting with Come Sail Away, then (I’m a) Jesus Freak when we got to the statue, and finishing with Bye, Bye, Bye. All the drinks and snacks were included and they were very personable and helpful. The whole crew back at the office were sweet and helpful. A few things noted by my 2 teen daughters and I were how lovely it was to have fresh water showers available, multiple changing rooms for LADIES since we always have to wait, and lady supplies in the bathroom because sometimes you’re surprised.
