Daytime Visit to Atlanta Botanical Garden

I bought my tickets online and there was less than a 7 minute wait to enter the absolutely fantastic gardens featuring the new "Alice In Wonderland" exhibit. I walked the exhibits for hours and enjoyed every single minute of it. The only thing comparable to the beauty of the botanics were the ladies from all over the world enjoying the same exhibits. Plenty of resting spots as well as water filling stations and restroom facilities.

We had so much fun! The gardens are absolutely amazing and the indoor greenhouses were very impressive. We went in early June and it seemed like everything was blooming! I don't have young children, but we looked at the children's garden and it looks wonderful. Definitely for all ages.

I absolutely love coming here. I’ve had a membership going on three years now because of how often I go. They routinely switch up the garden sculptures and displays, as well as the plants around the garden. Each season is different and each year is totally new. I love the addition of the cocktails that are offered during the afternoon and during the Holiday Lights. They do such an incredible job and everyone I’ve ever spoken to there is incredibly knowledgeable. They also have classes and events you can attend. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s also quite a long walk if you just want to come to get your cardio in.

We visited the beautiful gardens on May 13, 2025. The gardens are breath taking with the exception of the rose garden that appeared a bit unpruned. I can only imagine how much attention the garden requires for maintenance. In addition, we ran into a bit of an awful customer service experience when we stopped in the gift shop nearing the end of our visit. We were attempting to purchase a couple of souvenirs when we ran into a bad experience at the register. One of the items that we were purchasing was clearly stickered and labeled one price (as were all the other items on the shelf for this same item). The item was ringing up at a higher price and the cashier appeared confused and went to get help from a supervisor. The supervisor looked at us and said that the price of the item was ringing up correctly because the price had been increased recently in the system but the stickers on the items hadn’t been changed. Wow! The supervisor literally stood in front of us and proceeded to RIP the price tag from the item and expected us to pay the price in the system versus the sticker price. Standing there in shock, we couldn’t believe what we had just experienced and clearly didn’t want the items after that; so we left the gift shop. Although there are mistakes on tagged items in retail, we expected to pay the sticker price on the item and not the $7 increase that was in their system. The supervisor offered no resolution and we didn’t push the issue and simply left the gift shop. The botanical gardens are beautiful and recommended for visits, but to the gardens’ gift shop managers, please do a better job at ensuring fairness and correct marketing in your gift shop.

Gorgeous well maintained flowers. I was able to go during the Alice in Wonderland exhibit and I am so grateful. The details are incredible and everywhere you look along the paths while you walk have flowers. Also the parking garage had lights above each spot to show if it was taken or not and that was a pretty handy feature that I had personally never seen before.
