Had an amazing experience. I have ridden a horse before but the length of the ride, terrain, and heat made it challenging. The horses were so sure-footed and well behaved. I would definitely do it again. My sister has never ridden a horse but the staff help you get on and off the horse and ride with you through the tour.
The one thing to note is that if you Uber or Lyft there, there is a 2nd location that you have to go to start the ride with the horses( they load up the horses to the trailer and take them where they need to go). The staff drove us there in beginning of drive and would have taken us back after but they had to care for the tired horses first. We were lucky that a couple in our group drove us back to the stable so we could lyft back to the hotel.
I would recommend bringing a bottle of water, sunscreen, and the smallest of purses because everything needs to fit in the saddlebag they give you.
Also please don’t be the annoying person stopping the group to take a selfie because we had someone like that in front of us and it was ridiculous! Our horses constantly had to stop bc she would stop hers to take a picture 🙄
