Unveil the Beauty of Cabrillo National Monument and Bayside Trail

Went on a Sunday around noon, overcast day, and little breezy. The view from there is amazing. Even though there was no sunshine, the color of the ocean looked so beautiful. Excellent spot to see the city, and if you like airplanes, you can have a good time just watching them take off and landing. I didn't have the rim me but I wish I could have hiked on the trails. Definitely will do in another visit.

Amazing scenery, easy hikes, history lesson was neat. Don’t forget to go down to the tide pools, the views were amazing. Very peaceful when there aren’t a ton of tourists around. The military cemetery on the way in was beautifully maintained, very peaceful, and a sobering reminder of those that gave their lives for us.

It was a beautiful sunny day in San Diego, it being my birthday I ended up at this location after brunch. I’ve always wanted to visit this location to see the views and I was surprised by the nature and accessibility of the place. There are hike trails available I would recommend visiting the website to plan ahead if interested so you are well prepared. I arrived shortly after 12 pm on a weekday not too crowded but as we made our way out it was getting a bit crowded. The sights are beautiful breathtaking, I’am a nature lover so I made sure to check out all the sights. Definitely a place to take a camera to take pictures and capture moments.

First time visiting and I was astounded at how stunning the view is from here. There’s a store and a small museum which explains the backstory of the statue and gives you insight on what it was like to live during the time that San Diego was founded. If you’re a smushed penny collector they have a couple of machines here as well. They do charge for access and are open daily from 9:00AM-5:00PM.

This wonderful national monument is a top destination of San Diego. There are great amenities, incredible sceneries, and relaxing trails. The lighthouse is the most popular. I really enjoyed the city view here and it is also a good place to watch sunset. Highly recommend to buy tickets or national park pass in advance. My friends and I spent a good time here during Christmas break.
