Luxury Vanderhall Driving Experience

What an amazing and awesome experience! This is not just a tourist event. I live in San Diego and I had so much fun even though I have been to all these locations. Driving through with this little car was so much more exhilarating! Staff was very friendly and helpful!

This was our first time using GoCar tours. It was a perfect sunny and cool temp day for our too. We had four in our party, and we rented 2 cars. We had so much fun! Most drivers on the road were very polite and let us cross intersections together. There was a couple of drivers who were determined to slide in the lane between us even though there was plenty of room in the other lanes for manuvering and turning. Some people are just going to be like that though. Most people pulled their cameras out and waved. 👋🏻

Taking the audio tour through Balboa Park was really fun! Friendly employee showed us how to drive the car and the path to take. There were storms the day before, which we were told impacted the charge on the car. It was frustrating that they weren’t charged before we arrived and had to wait. Also, we weren’t warned about the phones overheating. I understand they are in the sun - but we lost the GPS/tour for some time waiting for them to cool down. Would have been a great experience without those factors. Fantastic way to see San Diego!

It was a fun way to see more of the area. Traffic wasn't bad and people were courteous. We did as a part of our Go City pass. It was definitely worth it! The employee who helped us was kind funny and made sure we felt comfortable before setting off.

Yeah it’s kind of expensive, and I was a little worried that it wasn’t going to be that good , but this turned out to be a REALLY fun way to play “tourist in our own city”. The tour itself is kind of flexible, so you can go at your own pace. The guided GPS has really good timing with speaking at the right moments, it’s easy to hear, and it didn’t take us through a bunch of busy streets so that we were able to maximize our time. And this was on a Saturday afternoon. I learned a few facts that I didn’t know and we even stopped for ice cream. We could have stopped for lunch if we wanted to. Finally, the Vanderhall car was extremely enjoyable to drive. It’s not slow at all; I was absolutely thrilled when I heard that familiar “vrrrm TSSSHHH” sound as I accelerated. Zipping around the coast in that thing on such a beautiful day turned out to be well worth it.
