This adventure was an unforgettable time. I got to the dock early in the morning around 7 am, got my wetsuit got assigned a jet ski. Once we were ready to go, we got safety instructions, which is the best part about this tour. These guys allow you to do pretty much whatever you want: go maximum speed, crash into waves, and spread out as far as you want. It doesn't feel like a guided tour. On the way to the island, our guides would make a few stops to rest and jump into the water, and they tried to spot dolphins and whales, and they did a few times! We would change direction to catch the dolphins. It was amazing! I've never been this close to dolphins in the wild! Also, I tested how fast can I go on the SeaDoo jet ski, and when I was going over 50 mph, I lost control and crashed into the waves!!! It didn't hurt at all, it was a super fun moment, and the guide came to assist immediately. I didn't get in trouble; it's actually the opposite. The guide laughed with me and said, "it was a beautiful flight!". Once we got to the island, we parked our jet skis and had half a day to enjoy the island. I took a quick hike to get a fresh beer at the bar. When I was back, I went cliff jumping and snorkeling. Catalina Island is full of fantastic fish! Soon after, we headed back to Long Beach. On the way, we spotted some rare whales and got to swim in the middle of the ocean!

I tried jet skiing for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience!
We went from Long Beach to Catalina Island and back. It is a full day (8h) adventure with wildlife watching and free time on the island.

An experience that literally changed my life to the better side in so many aspects! I got to meet some of the coolest people and made friends for life! Most people go to have fun, but i think 4 hours on the jetski away from everything else but the water, the sky, and the dolphins crossing the ocean is a great rare opportunity that helps to clear your mind and up your mental limits

Don't think twice, do it if you feel comfortable. Definitely the best experience of my life. We did this with my friends on my birthday on May 24, 2022. Our guides, George, Benji, and Chris (I think) were all amazing. They consider all the safety measures and watch you throughout the trip. If you listen to your guides, you will be safe. Go for it, you would not regret!

Jet ski to Catalina was an incredible experience. This was our first time and we will definitely be back when we are in Los Angeles. We saw dolphins on the way out and way back. We stopped a few times to swim too. The guides were great and made the trip even better.

This is a great way to spend a day. The guides have found the perfect mixture of keeping everyone safe without taking the adventure out of the trip. A lot of effort has been taken to make sure the trip is enjoyable for everyone and that there are things to do while on the island. YOUR GOING TO BE SORE AFTERWORDS. Completely worth it.

This was a super cool experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants an adventure. I do think you should get two jet skis if you are a couple. It’s a little pricier that way but the fun is so worth it. Thank you to everyone who works there! You guys made it an awesome experience!

Q & A

This usually depends upon conditions, how much time we spend playing with the dolphins, and how much time we spend at the Blue Caverns swimming before we head into the beach. It is approximately a 2 hr ride from the time we leave Long Beach to the time we arrive at the island.

Our Seadoo's can handle 2 riders in the ocean. For comfort, we highly recommend one rider per ski. For Families with children, passengers can ride as long as they are over 12 years old. The total weight capacity is 400lbs.

To operate a jetski on your own, you must be 16 yrs old. Passengers may ride behind an adult if they are over 12 years old. This is an extreme outdoor adventure and is not friendly for children.

Depending on the time of year, and ocean conditions, this adventure can be smooth sailing, but many times, especially during summertime, the ocean conditions can get rough, and one MUST have a sense of adventure and confidence when riding. If you do not have an outgoing sense of adventure in you, do NOT book this trip. You may want to consider one of our local coastline adventures instead.

Our fleet of watercraft are custom-built skis by Seadoo. They are very stable, quiet and provide a wonderful ride in the ocean environment. As an added bonus, they are low emission eco-friendly vessels.

We run Jetski2Catalina Adventure year-round. The ocean is an amazing place, and depending on the time of year you travel with us to the island, you will see different marine life, experience different conditions. We provide each of our guests with a wetsuit and vest, so our riders are seldom cold. The water temperature remains in the upper 60's all thru the spring and fall, so snorkeling is still an option during these months.

We provide all the equipment you will need: Jetski, fuel, wetsuit, safety equipment, snorkeling gear, pictures and guides, and all the on-water activities, including swimming thru the world-famous Blue Caverns. You simply show up and let us do all the work.

We recommend you bring lunch, bottled water, sunscreen, water shoes or sandals, extra t-shirt/sweatshirt. It is also recommended you bring along a snack (granola bar, fruit snacks, etc) as most guests like to relax on their skis when we stop to rest and have a bite to eat.

We monitor NOAA weather up until the moment we leave and continue to do so while on the ride. If your guide is not comfortable with any weather conditions he may cancel or delay the trip until it is safe for the journey.

Each of our skis is equipped with a mask and snorkel. We do not provide fins. If you would like to bring fins, please make sure they are the short style as the full-size fin will not fit in the storage compartments. If you would like to bring along your own snorkeling equipment, that is fine as well.

Our destination on the island is a beautiful secluded beach. We highly recommend you bring lunch and drinks for the day. Think "Beach Day". If you would prefer to eat at the restaurant on the island, it is a 15 min hike to get there. You can pack (2) backpacks per jetski to carry your food and clothes. Remember, certain foods do not survive bouncing in the ski. Pack all food well to make sure it survives the trip over.

Rules & Safety

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your Jetski2Catalina Adventure, you can do so up to 7 day before your scheduled departure date and receive a full refund. We sell out most days, and save your jetski rentals so that you are guaranteed skis. Please respect our company and the fact we are holding jetskis for YOU. Cancellations will not be refunded or rescheduled within the 7 days.  

WEATHER POLICY:  Our number one priority is your safety. If weather conditions do not permit us to travel across the Catalina Channel, you will be given the option to reschedule or be given a full refund.
