Amazing trail all the way to the beach. Great views and a fun activity with the fam. If you wanted to go all the way to the beach, and from there on the beach to the Storey Pines beach, make sure to check the tide first or be ready to get wet (as I did!).

I absolutely loved this trail! Very different from the trails I’m used to in Southern AZ. The views of the cliffs and ocean were something else!! Not to mention everything that was blooming (came in late July). I loved the comb of hiking down to the beach, then walking along shore back to the parking lot. Got the best of worlds (land & sea)!!!

One of the very best short hikes in San Diego area. Amazing views and adventures await. Not handicap or wheelchair accessible. Trail is nicely maintained, but lots of stairs and some erosion is common at the bottom. The beach is beautiful. Cliffs, sand, rocks, and a few tide pools. A very popular place.

A great trail accessible directly from the beach or the road. Yes, you can park for free just before the state park and then hike 2 miles to the beach part of the beach head trail. Bring water. Lots of stairs.

A great hike trail and a bit slippery closer to beach with a great parking area. if you need to rest no worries there are a bunch of benches on your way. -Park closed at sunset -No food or eating allowed but take some water. -No public restroom but portal-lets in parking area. -No parking after 7:30 pm, vehicles left in the park after the closing time are subject to citation. -Have your face mask on. Highly recommended this beautiful trail.
