Spectacular. I would highly recommend this trip. I came at the last minute and even though there were 4 ships in port, I got a ticket and the train was not even full. The views are incredible and the staff was informative and helpful. There is no food or drinks on board but you are welcome to bring your own. There is a store in the depot that sells snacks and a few sandwiches and hot and cold beverages

I rode the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway during my Alaska cruise, and it was an unforgettable experience. The train ride offered incredible views of mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and historic bridges. The scenery was breathtaking the entire way, and the narration made it even more interesting by explaining the area’s history. If your cruise stops in Skagway, this excursion is definitely worth taking.

We tossed around going vs. not going for hours! I am SO, SO glad we did! We saw 3 black bears, tons of waterfalls, and most importantly the views were incredible! I took 100s of photos! So beautiful! Once in a lifetime experience✅️ Our conductors were amazing- so kind, friendly, and knowledgable! They had complementary boxed water to drink. Once we got in a ways we were able to step outside against the railing, which was so fun!

Had a great train ride up the mountain and bus trip down. The salmon bake was wonderful. Tasted great cooked over fire pit. They had a show which was nice and panned for gold. After we toured the Red Onion Saloon we walked thru the town. Its about 15 min walk back to the boat.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Fortunate to catch it on a mostly sunny day, but would be fun in any weather. The staff is really great; very enthusiastic young people who are well trained and knowledgeable about the history along the route. Very safe and well maintained experience. Thrilling scenery! Nice lunch provided.
