We tossed around going vs. not going for hours! I am SO, SO glad we did! We saw 3 black bears, tons of waterfalls, and most importantly the views were incredible! I took 100s of photos! So beautiful! Once in a lifetime experience✅️ Our conductors were amazing- so kind, friendly, and knowledgable! They had complementary boxed water to drink. Once we got in a ways we were able to step outside against the railing, which was so fun!

A brilliant experience. You travel this railroad in restored or repro rail cars up the mountain to its peak. The fantastic commentary describes the history of the railroad and gold rush era also some modern history. The scenery is breathtaking and the photos you can get from inside or out on viewing platforms are amazing.

The White Pass Railroad summit tour is a truly exceptional experience. We initiated our excursion on the train in Skagway and traversed 20 miles from tidewater to the Summit of the White Pass, culminating in a 2,865-foot elevation! The tour showcased vast canyon views and provided a complimentary carton of water. We occupied vintage passenger coaches and retraced the original route to the White Pass summit, passing notable points of interest such as Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point, and Dead Horse Gulch. The tour presented a breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles, and historic sites along the White Pass Railroad. The original Klondike Trail of 1898, etched into the rocks, remains a lasting tribute to the thousands of individuals who traversed this path in pursuit of fortune. I would highly recommend this and would visit again just to do the white pass

After visiting Skagway, we completely understand why absolutely everyone recommends the White Pass Railway experience. The train ride is truly amazing. The landscapes throughout the journey are spectacular, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming the entire time. This is honestly one of those experiences you simply cannot miss if you visit Skagway. We were also very lucky with the weather and had sunshine during the whole trip, which made the views even more incredible. During the ride you pass through beautiful forest landscapes, waterfalls, dramatic mountain scenery, and eventually reach the higher areas completely covered in snow. The contrast of landscapes throughout the journey is stunning. One of the best parts is that you can spend as much time as you want outside on the open platforms of the train, enjoying the fresh air, taking photos, and fully experiencing the scenery around you. The views from there are absolutely unforgettable. 100% recommended — and honestly worth every dollar you pay for it.

Absolutely loved this experience. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. They kept us updated with information about the railway and let us know when a picture opportunity was coming up. Train ride was breathtaking. Lunch was simple but good, a turkey sandwich, chips, grapes n cheese, and a cookie. Definitely a 5 star experience!!
