Begin your adventure with a scenic drive up to 1550’ Hoonah Mountain, passing through the charming village of Hoonah. Watch for wildlife along the way, with possible sightings of deer, eagles, and bears. At the summit, after a safety briefing and gearing up, you'll launch from the tower on one of six side-by-side ziplines. Experience the exhilaration of speeding down the 5,495-foot-long ZipRider, with a vertical drop of 1,320 feet, reaching speeds of up to 65 mph. Soar above the rainforest, enjoying the panoramic views before the break-activated landing brings you smoothly to the beach at Icy Strait Point.

    Zip lining was fun and a great adventurous activity while visiting during a cruise. I would do it again. I give it 4 not 5 due to the somewhat confusing appointment times. The time you book is not the time you ride. Look at least an hour after maybe a bit more before your turn to ride.

    Alright you guy's!! This is definitely one of the most exciting,hart pounding and adrenaline producing Zip lines you'll ever get a chance to ride!! If you are on the fence about riding this let me help you out!! You only live once!! If you are blessed enough to have the opportunity to be there don't think twice and just dooooooooo ittttt!!! There is literally nothing to worry about you will not die!!! Just put your fear behind you and live for today!!! You got this!! Just do it and have fun!! It was a blast!! I highly recommend doing it !!

    The Zip Rider at Icy Strait Point is a great way to enjoy the scenic surroundings of Alaskan nature from a high elevation. As you climb up, the view on the left opens up to Glacier Bay and the snow capped mountains. At the top there are stores, facilities, tram ride and nature trail. If you plan to hike, please be mindful of bears and stay on the guided path, preferably in groups of 3 or more.

    Excellent gondola ride up the mountain at Hoonah, Icy Strait Point. Beautiful views of the mountains and the water!

    Sooo much fun riding down the zipline! Taking the gondola up was pretty frightening 😅 but the zipline made it all worth it 🤩 Gorgeous views and fast speeds. The staff was friendly and made it all feel safe 🙏
