Absolutely incredible experience! After hearing about it online, I really wanted to do it but was skeptical because of the price and was honestly somewhat scared, but after arriving in port, we decided to get tickets. btw don’t do what we did, and actually get your tickets before you arrive as the ticket booth line can get quite long, and usually you can get a good discount on the excursion. If you get the tickets for both the gondola and the ziprider, you can and should ride the Red Gondola a couple times to get your moneys worth 😉, and also to experience heading down the mountain on the gondola. After actually experiencing the ride, I will have to say it was soooo fun! Adrenaline really kicks in, and after a couple seconds, you don’t even feel like you’re dropping, but rather like a smooth and fast escalator ride! I will say the mountaintop is kinda bare and boring say for some restaurants, a trail, and some small shops, but this was quite unforgettable. Also, admittedly quite terrifyingly, during release of the zip line, I did get stuck for a second, but the staff was very professional about it and took care of it swiftly (I think they missed a carabiner). Overall, a very unforgettable experience in Hoonah (Icy Strait Point)! Definitely a must do! (If you’re not scared of heights)

Zip lining was fun and a great adventurous activity while visiting during a cruise. I would do it again. I give it 4 not 5 due to the somewhat confusing appointment times. The time you book is not the time you ride. Look at least an hour after maybe a bit more before your turn to ride.

Too many cruise ship, too many people. no infrastructure adopted for this many people at once. overall i do not recommend stopping at this port. all activities are overpriced. Zip line $200, Redbucket ride is $55. The view is nice though

Alright you guy's!! This is definitely one of the most exciting,hart pounding and adrenaline producing Zip lines you'll ever get a chance to ride!! If you are on the fence about riding this let me help you out!! You only live once!! If you are blessed enough to have the opportunity to be there don't think twice and just dooooooooo ittttt!!! There is literally nothing to worry about you will not die!!! Just put your fear behind you and live for today!!! You got this!! Just do it and have fun!! It was a blast!! I highly recommend doing it !!

The Zip Rider at Icy Strait Point is a great way to enjoy the scenic surroundings of Alaskan nature from a high elevation. As you climb up, the view on the left opens up to Glacier Bay and the snow capped mountains. At the top there are stores, facilities, tram ride and nature trail. If you plan to hike, please be mindful of bears and stay on the guided path, preferably in groups of 3 or more.
