Glacier Paddleboarding on Knik Glacier with Helicopter Tour

We did the Grand Knik Tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Cameron was a fantastic pilot and guide. Being able to fly over and then land onto the incredible glacier and surrounding areas was a phenomenal experience. And the best part - we were the only ones out there! We paid extra for a private tour, and it was totally worth it. The landscape is awe-inspiring no matter what, but being able to really absorb the beauty all by ourselves was magical. 10/10, would absolutely love to do this again!

We had an unforgettable experience with Alaska Helicopter Tours! It was the first time I had ever been in a helicopter and I was a bit nervous eat first. Upon arrival the staff made us feel very comfortable and their professionalism was obvious at each stage of our experience. Our pilot Bailey was a world class pilot and he took care of us. The day we flew the weather was a little windy on a few planned landings of our tour. The group at Alaska Helicopter Tours informed us that 2 of our 3 landings would be impossible that day and they quickly offered to reschedule us for a future day, refund or go out for a single landing. At first, we were bummed we couldn’t visit all three planned landing but we can’t control the weather, I was just pleased that the company choose our safety over profit that day. We ended up choosing the one landing option and that flight was more than anything we could have imagined. The helicopter ride was incredible. We flew through the canyon, mountains and landed on the glacier. Walking around on that massive block of ice was like a scene out of a scifi film. I’ve never seen water so blue and a landscape so vast. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. I cannot wait to go again!

The experience was nothing short of magical. I think I found a new career! The lower glacier landing was unforgettable. It was so amazing that it didn’t feel real. Our pilot shared a lot of interesting facts about the glacier which made the experience much more fun. This was so impressive!! What a beautiful experience my husband and I enjoyed the personal touch especially our helicopter pilot Adam. Landing on the glacier and seeing the snow capped mountains the scenery was amazing. A bucket list item for sure !! The dog sledding was such a cool adventure seeing the camp and the champion dogs was also fun and very enjoyable. Meeting the crew and especially our guide Fiona she was great and also getting to see the living spaces We had an incredible experience and would totally recommend this. Memories that last a lifetime ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the most incredible time! Shane was a great pilot and we even saw bears and mountain goats from the helicopter. Flying over the glaciers was breathtaking! Our time with Dallas Seaveys sled dogs was so fun! Our kids loved every minute of it and Josiah was the friendliest and most informative guide telling us all about the sled dogs. Highly recommend!
