Klarhet is the most unique place I have ever stayed at in my many trips to the North Shore. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The dreams and ideas Nicole and Kirk have for this place will have a very positive impact on the land and community and they have an invested staff who are excited to be a part of it all. The dome was so cozy and designed so you have everything you need for a simple, relaxed and unplugged stay. Everything was very clean and beautiful. There were many thoughtful touches such as different types of card games, paint sets, cotton balls, cotton swabs and other things to ensure a comfortable, cozy stay. The farm animals were so much fun to interact with. Jennifer and Oscar were happy to let us visit with the goats on multiple occasions. The babies were so sweet! We can’t wait to visit again and see how it all evolves.

Part of me wants to shout from the rooftops about how amazing this place is, but part of me wants to keep it a secret so I have it all to myself. What a special and unique experience. The domes are so comfortable and well appointed. Yes, it is ultimately a big tent, but it doesn’t feel like camping at all, other than the few baby daddy long legs who politely shared the space with us (I laughed the whole visit in response to my husband calling them “baby daddies”). We had a wide range of weather during our stay and equally loved hearing the rain pouring on the roof, looking at the stars through the huge window during a clear night, and waking up to the early morning sun while the rooster crowed. My husband I were so impressed after the farm tour. Hearing Nicole speak about her and Kirk’s plans for the farm, as well as their commitment to the environment and the community…inspiring. And the goats. Oh my goodness, the baby goat. I seriously could not get enough of those cuties. We spent our drive home talking about when we would visit again. I loved Klarhet.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Klarhet! From the moment we arrived, Kirk, Nicole, and Sage went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Coming all the way from Raleigh to Minneapolis and then driving to Lutsen was worth it for the warm welcome and hospitality we received. The cardamom tea in coconut milk was a delightful touch, and the fresh farm eggs were a tasty treat. Staying in the dome was a unique and memorable experience. The cleanliness of the place exceeded our expectations, and the setup was perfect for our family. Cooking meals was a breeze, and the kids had a blast upstairs. Kirk even helped us set up a bonfire where we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the crisp temperatures. A big thank you to Nicole and Sage for the tour of their farm. Seeing the goats and chickens up close was a highlight for our children and gave us a new appreciation for farm life. Overall, we couldn't find a single flaw with our stay at Klarhet. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and give it a well-deserved 5-star rating!

This property and Nicole and Kirk's story behind it is truly beautiful and inspiring. We stayed over spring break with our children and had a magical and connected experience which is exactly what we were looking for. The accommodations are beautiful, serene, cozy and perfectly nestled in with nature. We lucked out with a fresh coat of snow that provided hours of fun for the boys, but the ambiance and vibe here were very supportive to our intentions to connect to one another and with nature (and escape the business and distractions of everyday life). Nicole and Kirk were very supportive in giving us a detailed tour of the farm (the goats were a highlight) and being available to support us in making sure we had everything that we needed. Nicole provided great recommendations for local hikes and places to see and we loved learning about all of the incredible work that has been done along w/future plans to grow in alignment with, and support of Mother Nature and the ecosystem within. This is truly a special experience that we would highly recommend.

Our stay at Klarhet was wonderful, and it was so hard to leave! The dome was cozy and warm, and waking up to the sunrise over Lake Superior was magical. They have all you need for a very comfortable stay. We loved snuggling the baby goats and visiting the chickens, and a winter hike through their woods was lovely. Nicole and Kirk are kind and generous hosts. They've created a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and explore the outdoors.
