OMG, what a place! The scenery is unreal, with those dramatic Ko'olau cliffs towering over everything. You can take a slow, relaxing drive right through the garden, and bonus points if you've got a convertible. An absolute must-do, and it's completely free! Crazy, considering similar attractions can easily cost $100 per person. Highly recommend!

I'm so happy the park opened again after the storm (it was temporarily closed and I was worried that I couldn't make it here during my 2 week holiday in O'ahu). It's a very beautiful botanical garden. I would recommend to come here with a car. Cars can drive only 15 miles per hour, so it is advisable to drive slowly. Also many people are taking photos for social media, so drivers be careful. Most people linger around the instagram spots but there are gardens dedicated to Polynesia, Hawaii, Sri Lanka etc. where less people ventured off to. I really enjoyed the 10 min walk to the lake from the visitor center. Some people brought bento box along, which is a great idea. At Kahua Lehua I saw at least 3 mongoose running around. I didn't expect that. What a pleasant surprise. Overall, a very relaxing visit despite all the silly Instagrammers. I enjoyed reading the plant descriptions a lot.

Peaceful, stunning with lots of parking spaces and completely free! Easily one of the most scenic spots on the island. The views of the Koʻolau Mountains towering over the tropical greenery and lake are pure magic. Great paved walking trails with plenty of shade and colorful nature all the way makes this wonderful place for a calm stroll or picnic!

The botanical garden was really nice! It is free and there is a lot to see and explore. There are a lot of places to wonder and relax and to sit down and enjoy the nature. There are various trials you can walk. The main walking paths are paved which is nice. It is a great way to be immersed in nature. I would recommend checking it out.

Very Beautiful, amazing views of tropical landscapes and lots of plants and trees, many have signs describing them. It is huge and there are lots of places to explore, very peaceful. We saw people feeding the ducks and the fish at the pond. A great escape and best of all, its free!
