Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens, located on the windward side of Oahu in Kane’ohe, offers a unique escape into nature. Spanning over 400 acres, these gardens are set against the majestic Ko’olau mountains and feature a range of distinct botanical areas connected by a main road. Visitors can explore the six themed areas, each with its own parking lot, restrooms, and walking paths. The gardens also include a serene lake ideal for a relaxing stroll, and short trails that meander through lush vegetation. Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with free admission, this natural retreat provides an opportunity to experience Hawaii's rich plant life, enjoy scenic views, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
