Not only do they work will all levels of surfers, you get a personalized surf lesson and location that suits your needs. Santa Barbara is gorgeous and the waters were seriously perfect! This amazing surf school is also the only surf school endorsed by the World Surf League between Santa Barbara and Ventura! You will learn things such as how to catch waves, better understand the ocean, and then advance on to even more surfing tricks. Learn in a group setting with all your friends or sign up for private lessons!

    I CAUGHT MY FIRST WAVE. One of my favorite experiences in the Santa Barbara area! I was quite nervous to take my first surf lesson, but Thomas was able to instill confidence in me before we entered the water. He taught me the proper techniques and the importance of safety and commitment. I love that he is transparent on good or bad surf days, and finds the best local surf spot to ensure you can catch a wave and have fun! After one lesson, I signed up for the membership soo…. I think sums up how great it was. Had a blast! Thanks, Thomas and iSurf!

    My efoil lesson with Josh was awesome. He was a great instructor and I appreciated the focus on both safety and technique tips along the way to provide the best experience. He was very friendly and supportive. Would definitely recommend!

    Our 3 kids had a private lesson with Thomas and they absolutely loved it! Thomas was great with the kids with clear instructions and teaching at the start before getting into the water. Great introduction to surfing, good amount of time for each kid to have loads of practice. Would book again the next time we’re in Santa Barbara!

    We wanted our 16 year old to learn to surf while we were in CA from the east coast. After booking online, Thomas texted the evening before our lesson to arrange a time and place that was both convenient for our touring schedule as well as ideal for surfing. We ended up not being able to go at the ideal time, but Thomas made sure it still worked. Thomas started the lesson with lots of verbal explanation on the beach, which we weren't sure would work for our son, but once in the water, Thomas had our son up on a wave by the third attempt! Our son said his instruction in the water was clear and helpful, and he had a total blast for the full 90 minute lesson. I would highly recommend iSurf and Thomas to any beginner!

Pricing:

  • 1 person-$150
  • 2 people-$95/person
  • 3-4 people-$85/person
  • 5-7 people-$75/person
  • Group of 8 or more- $65/person

Cancellation Policy:

Refunds will be granted based on the amount of notice provided prior to the commencement of a lessons, tour or camp.

If you cancel more than seven (7) days in advance of the start of a reserved activity: your entire fee is refunded, less a $25 administration fee. If you cancel seven (7) or fewer days in advance of the start of your surf lesson or SUP tour reservation: A $25 processing fee will be charged, and the remaining balance can be processed as follows: 50% of the fee will be refunded to the original purchase card, if purchased using a credit/debit card OR via check if cash or check payment was made.
