Explore the Wonders of Point Dume Nature Preserve Hike

Incredibly pretty place with amazing views. We were so lucky to come during sunset time and have the hills be full of blossoming flowers. There are some clearly delineated trails and you can even go down to the beach. Highly recommended!

Point Dume, located on the picturesque coastline of Malibu, California, is a truly unique place worth visiting. Had to drive around twice before a car pulled out from the parking area. Paved walkway that turned into sand going as you walk around the bluffs. There is a great set of steps down to the beach. Saw and heard the seals on a protected beach on the path. Plenty of lizards running around on the trails. Trail was easy for my wife and I to walk. Spent about 45 minutes checking all trails. Highly recommend anyone that is considering visit to do it, but go early to get a parking spot. Signs all around the neighborhood about "no parking" There are about 15 spots available on the loop. It is a free park and you do not have to pay to enjoy it.

The point doom is a beautiful place to enjoy the view. You need to walk a little bit around 15 minutes but it is definitely worth the hike. Furthermore I would recommend wearing sneaker or comfortable shoes in order to reach the point better. Bonus tip, you could take some snacks and drinks and just enjoy the view while the sunsets. What I found interesting is that there were people climbing , wouldn’t do it, but look cool. I also saw the ice cream truck so you can enjoy your ice cream while watching the astonishing view.

Visited at the end of June. The weather is not hot. Beautiful view. Good and wonderful hiking along the coast. Senior people who are active on hiking and jogging can hike at this place
