This place has lots of things to see. One of my favorite things was the gigantic octopus they have. You can see wildlife outside of the aquarium as well which is pretty cool. My kids we entertained by the waterfall simulation as well. Food is a bit overpriced. Paid $10 for a cookie. Overall we really enjoyed this place and the view is amazing with the aquarium located just off the coast. There is a parking garage close by and there is a flat rate fee. There are also lots of eating places around the aquarium.

Just wow! This place is truely magical. Not only is it clean and well attended to, but the animals seem genuinely happy. The staff is so kind, accommodating, and helpful. I've been here so many times and I will keep on going back. They keep it interesting as well as have the most AMAZING food. Definitely on the pricey side but so worth it!

Fantastic place to bring children or even adults. They have different sections to look up from surface, right under the water and even deep ocean. The must see is the deep ocean. It's dark and they illuminate some of the aquarium tanks to make some of the organisms stand out more. The food in the cafe also taste great as well. Price is a bit high but they go out of their way to make the food delicious. Figured all the money earned goes back into the aquarium so I don't feel bad spending here and enjoying all the exhibit

The aquarium was nice, seemed to be very well maintained. It was a little smaller than I anticipated/ from what I read online. There was no dolphins or whales. My kids like the touch displays. Jellyfish area was cool. View from the aquarium was very nice. I thought the ticket prices were a little pricey. $65 for adults and $50 for my kids (age 10). All in all, we had a good time tho.

Always a fun time visiting Monterey. Spend a good 3 hours here. There were less people this year than last year (at least a certain spots of the aquarium but it was nice). Next time I’ll try to go when most kids are in school rather than on break 😅

Do I need to buy my tickets in advance?

Yes. Tickets must be purchased on website as there are no in-person ticket sales. You’re welcome to make a reservation on your mobile device, but to ensure a spot is available, please purchase in advance. Arrive any time up until an hour before closing. Aquarium hours vary. Check out the hours and schedule for specific dates and times. No reservations required for members.

What do I need to bring with me to enter the aquarium?

When arriving at the Aquarium, please have a ticket ready for each guest, regardless of age (tickets for visitors ages four and under are free). As long as the QR code can be scanned, it does not matter if the ticket is on a mobile device or printed. Members and their guests will present their digital or physical member cards. Many guests arrive right at opening — you may experience quicker entry if you arrive later in the day.

Is there a time limit on my visit?

No. You are welcome to stay and explore until the aquarium closes for the day. You can also give yourself a hand stamp at the exit for re-entry later that same day.
