What a blast! This was my first time skiing, and I had such a great time. I'm from the south, so it was completely mind-blowing to see how epic and gorgeous the mountain was. I would go back in a heartbeat. Even the chillest (no pun intended) ski lift was quite the ride, so much so that getting down the mountain was harder than expected, even in the easiest route. I made it down in the end, and felt confident by the time I reached the bottom. So many little shops as well!

Tired of the overpriced crowds in Tahoe? Mount Shasta Ski Park has everything you need for a fantastic ski trip. The staff here are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We loved the uncrowded slopes and had such a great time that we'll definitely be back next year!

1st time there end off May still snowing and was amazing. Lines to lift were luckily short, bar was quick and people were friendly. Easy parking and walking distance to entrance.

My first time to Mt. Shasta Ski Park ever, which was special with my kids and their Scouts BSA Troop. I did not get the chance to ski but got my kids and several other Scouts on skis and snowboards for their first time. Ski instruction is first come first serve so get their at least by 830 to get a spot. Instructors are passionate about their sports and making sure their students have a good time while being safe and getting lots of positive encouragement. Equipment rentals is for students only. Park is laid out well for safety keeping newbies in the center near the lodge. Lots of staff around for safety. Lodge food is EXPENSIVE. Recommend you also get to park early to park close as to eat at your vehicle a packed in meal. No outside food or drink in the Lodge. Can't wait to go back again!

I was stuck in the snow on one of the runs and when I got my head out of the snow a person on the lift pegged me with a snowball in the back of the head. Maybe I shouldn't have went snowboarding during a major winter weather warning, but seriously no respect. I enjoyed the other two times on the mountain. I probably would have marked it a four with my other two experiences, but this experience really put a bad taste in my mouth.

FAQs

Where do we park? Is parking free?

Parking is free and most of our parking is close to the base area. We suggest arriving early to secure a parking spot. Some lodging accommodations in town may provide shuttle services.

Do I have to purchase tickets beforehand?

We recommend you purchase your lift tickets, rental equipment, and lessons online ahead of time. All ticket sales are limited in order to manage our parking lot and make sure everyone gets a spot! This shortens your wait time and allows us to prepare better for your arrival.

Do you have rental gear?

Our rental ski and snowboarding rental equipment are perfect for getting started. Snowboard rental packages include boots and a snowboard, while ski rental packages include boots, skis, and poles. If needed, rental helmets are also available to add on for an additional fee.When making a reservation, a birthdate, height, weight, shoe size, and skier type (cautious, moderate, or aggressive) are required for each renter. Once on the snow, if anything needs to be adjusted, just come back to our rental shop and we will make sure things are working right. All renters will need to be with someone 18 or older to check out, that person will be asked to provide a photo ID at the time of check out.
