We loved this adventure so much! We were visiting for a sports event and added this activity to see something local outside of the parks and resorts. I’m so glad we did! We rented a canoe for 3 of us and explored both sides of the river. In the turquoise water we were able to walk and swim around a few times. We saw a few birds, turtles and a gator in the water. First time seeing anything like this, will remember this experience for a long time.

We booked a VIP Tour with King's Landing to take a break from the Disney parks for a day and had a fantastic time. No bugs (in March), beautiful water and scenery, and Nigel our tour guide was so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the area. It was a little busy that day - more so than usual - but we weren't in a rush and managed just fine. It was a nice balance of kayaking and stopping to enjoy time in the water. Nigel also took the time to interact with our kids, take photos and videos, and overall made the experience so fun for our family. Highly recommend!

I took the $59 Emerald Cut Kayak Adventure. It was a nice kayak trip. But not sure it’s was worth price. I’m comparing it to a kayak tour I took earlier this year at The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek (see my review). Prepare for a bit of a workout. The first half of this trip is upstream. The day I went the current was pretty good (about 3-4 mph) making it exercise not a leisurely paddle. Fortunately, after a beautiful trip through the narrow jungle foliage, you get to pretty much coast downstream back to the dock. Unfortunately, it was a bit crowded and there was no sign of wildlife. Our guide, Nigel was very nice and provided some periodic interpretation and history along the way One more thing, unless you are there early, be prepared to walk as there is no dedicated parking - even for paying tour guests.

My family of four, with kids aged 8 and 5, LOVED our kayak tour with Owen as the guide. Owen was super friendly, super knowledgeable, and great with the kids! The entire visit exceeded our expectations ... The scenery was insanely gorgeous, we loved the stop & swim/explore breaks, and all of the staff were fun and friendly. The fun "kayak camp" atmosphere at the launch point was cool, and the kids loved the snow cones after our time in the water. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back, probably to try the longer tour next time. Thanks for an awesome visit!!

I visited during April on a Wednesday at 1:00pm without a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get in as most springs tend to fill up quickly - I was told by one of the employees that it is much busier on a weekend (as expected). I rented a single person kayak ($55) and explored Emerald Cut. The initial part of the paddle is upstream and then you reach a turnaround point and can float back downstream. Most of the stream is shallow enough to stand and you can stop and swim along the way. Overall, a beautiful experience. I would definitely recommend.
