Guided Hikes at Westcave Preserve

We really enjoyed the cave and waterfall. The hike back in 100 degree weather was a beating but we'll worth it. We learned so much about the vegetation, wildlife (snakes 👀), and trees. It's a great learning opportunity.

Westcave Outdoor in Austin, TX is a breathtaking nature preserve. The guided tour will take you through an arid savannah, into a lush canyon, and to a stunning waterfall. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s a serene escape into nature’s beauty. Highly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts.

Loved the guided hike here and it's beautiful! It's a nice leisurely pace on the way to the grotto and then you hike back out on your own. Would 100% recommend taking this tour!

Booked a 9:00 a.m. tour. Our guide was Amanda and she was great! She gave us a lot of details about the area and the flora and fauna. We hiked down some natural steps to the grotto and the cave. Amanda gave us plenty of time for photos. Took about an hour and 40 minutes. There were about 25 people total in the group. It was pretty hot by the time we got back, so if you are visiting in the summer, I recommend an early tour. There are restrooms on the left side of the parking lot. When you get there you need to go into the main building and check in at the desk. The main building has a lot of interesting information and photos. It was a beautiful hike and I definitely recommend it.

Very nice place. I can see why they needed a guided tour to come here. Knowledgeable guide and a nice short hike to visit the grotto and cave.
