Go for a Swim at Hamilton Pool Preserve

Don't come here expecting to see the waterfall or go under the rocks, the ranger said he hasn't seen the waterfall in years. I'm so bummed at the state of this place. It was so amazing when I went years ago but it's changed so much. I honestly don't think it's worth the visit between the price, lack of waterfall, and not being able to go under the rocks the experience was disappointing. I hope one day it will be restored to its former glory!

If you want to visit this place don't forget to make a reservation before, because Pool is very popular. Also, bring a cash (8$ per person) because they don't accept card. The trail to the pool is short but can be difficult if you forget about good hydration. The trail under the grotto is closed because of the risk of falling rocks, but you can swim in the pool.

Beautiful natural falls and pool. Check online for availability, limited access to increase your experience. And Deborah at the gate helped me straighten out my reservation.

Such a beautiful area! Hiking down the rocks with four little kids was a trek but we all managed and loved seeing the water. Wish we could go in it after being in the hot sun! Hopefully someday soon!!

It is a nice place to visit; don't expect to swim there. At least we couldn't.
