Experience Swimming & Nature at Krause Springs

Krause Springs is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit! The gardens are stunning, with colorful flowers, huge wind chimes, and peaceful walking paths that make you feel like you’re in a hidden oasis. The swimming area is gorgeous, with clear spring-fed water and plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature. There is also a campground for those wanting to stay overnight, and the restrooms were conveniently located and easy to access. Parking was plentiful, which made our visit stress free. The grounds were well maintained, and the entire property had a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. A few tips: arrive early on weekends if you want to avoid larger crowds, bring water shoes since some areas can be slippery, and don’t forget your camera because there are so many beautiful spots for photos. Overall, this is one of the prettiest natural attractions we’ve visited in Texas. Whether you’re looking to swim, camp, explore the gardens, or simply relax, Krause Springs is definitely worth the trip. We will be back!

Amazing place to be!! So relaxing and beautiful. We did not want to leave. Pool is amazing the river was great. Lots to explore. The garden area was a dream come true especially for plant and nature lovers. I hope to come back soon. Tent camping was so peaceful and great price. Nicely greeted apon arrival

So I actually love this place and I've been here quite a few times before. I contemplated writing this review, because I went two months ago. I'm still going to write it because it's been bothering me so much and with everything going on, it must be said. The day I went, I went with my mother and my toddler. I was speaking to my mom in Spanish, but my daughter in English. The young man (late 20's, maybe) looked me up and down, and said $28 dollars. Then gave me my change. We walked toward the garden. Then I hear him say, "Welcome, how are you all today?" The people answer and he' charged them, then he's like "enjoy or have fun something along those lines!" So I turned around and it was an Anglo family. I told my mom, I think that guy is racist. He just gave me the amount and my change back and he treated them differently. Never in my life have I felt discriminated against until this day and I'm in my 40's. I even have a video of where I'm taking a video of the butterflies and I guess he was going to have lunch so he's about to walk past me and I apologize for taking a video and he just ignores me. You can hear it in my voice that I was let down and left talking to myself. I wish I could upload it here. It is a beautiful place! The garden is amazing, the springs are so refreshing! There's even a waterfall. Just wish that interaction would have gone differently. Maybe they can talk to their employee or relative, whoever was there that day.

10/10 experience! I think maybe this place isn’t real - it is so beautiful and peaceful. We spent lots of time reading on the hammocks in the lovely gardens, listening to wind chimes. We cooled off in the spring and swam behind the water falls into the caves behind. We climbed over GIANT twisting tree roots which look so cool. We loved our tent camping experience, found a nice area away from others on a not busy weekend. Plenty of camp sites to choose from (no reservation needed for the tent camping - and they say they’ve never filled up, so no worries there). The bathrooms nearest to the springs are bare minimum, but the main bath house near the office is a great bathroom with stone walls. The water in the showers is spring water, so it is cold (but that’s ok on a warm day). Bring bug spray and water shoes. Water shoes are a must if visiting the spring, because the rocks are many and slippery - LOTS of falling and slipping happening on those rocks. We would love to visit again!

This hidden little paradise was absolutely worth the trip and every penny of the $11 entrance fee. 🌿💧 The natural spring pool was fresh, crystal clear, and deliciously cool against the Texas heat, the kind of water that instantly resets your nervous system the second you slip in. What made it feel almost enchanted was the way the spring flowed into a fern and moss draped waterfall, spilling gently into another beautiful swimming area below. It looked like something tucked inside a forgotten rainforest painting. The grounds are thoughtfully set up for an entire day of relaxing and exploring. Plenty of picnic tables and benches made it easy to spread out coolers, snacks, towels, and all the supplies for a carefree day outdoors without feeling crowded or chaotic. There’s also ample space for camping and RVing, making it easy to turn a day trip into a full nature escape. The gardens themselves deserve their own standing ovation. Winding through the blooms and greenery felt peaceful and restorative, like strolling through a living postcard. Everywhere you looked there was another quiet corner, another burst of color, another reason to pause for a moment. This place manages to be both refreshing and grounding at the same time. A perfect blend of adventure, tranquility, and old fashioned outdoor joy.
