Experience Swimming & Nature at Krause Springs

We went to Krause Springs for the day, so I can't speak to the campground though I heard it's very nice. We spent most of our time swimming in the upper, man-made pool, and walking around in the gardens. The pool was very nice. The bottom has some texture but I didn't feel like I needed to put on water shoes or anything - though the pool deck does get very hot in the sun, so you might want them for that reason. You can sit on the wall around the pool deck, but we were glad we brought beach chairs to get comfy in. The water was cold but swimmable, and very clean, though there were leaves from the trees. It was a Thursday, the day school let out for summer break, but it wasn't crowded. Maybe the next day it would have been. They close the pool down at 5pm on Thursdays for a weekly cleaning, FYI. We didn't go down to the stream. It was a pretty laid back quiet atmosphere around the upper pool; there was a guy with a boom box but he kept the volume low. It sounded a bit rowdier down toward the stream, but still pretty family -friendly. We didn't have any kids with us but there were several around the upper pool, babies to teenagers, and they all seemed to be having a wonderful time. Bring your own refreshments, just remember, NO GLASS. And don't neglect to walk through the garden; it's beautiful and inspiring, with several places you can sit or even chill out in a hammock for a while. Thank you to the owners!

Very shaded and really interesting land. Huge bald Cypress trees and a couple of waterfalls. Day passes are affordable. Camping available. Huge picnic tables and a spring fed pool in case you don't want to swim in the lagoon. It's a really great place to meet.

Very nice spring pool at the top and a pond at the bottom but it's pretty dry around the area. The water doesn't flow. I think it's because of our drought. Beautiful garden

We really loved this place! The water was perfect for swimming, and the price was quite reasonable. Would definitely come back!

The campgrounds are nice, swimming pool available for kids. Nice for a family bbq or picnic. The grounds are nicely maintained. And it wasn’t too crowded. For mobility challenged, it’s not easy to get to the natural springs, steep stairs, then maneuvering over rocks and tree roots. It’s not the beautiful wild place I remember from 18 yrs ago. Water is really muddy - although that could be recent rains. Still I’d say it’s worth the drive.
