Experience Swimming & Nature at Krause Springs

Great private camping site, inside a ranch, with access to a pool where 20+ natural springs converge and spill down to a swimming hole in the creek below. The swimming hole is over 6 ft deep in some areas and even has a small cave and swing rope. There are not as many restrictions on where to set your tent or your fire pit, as in a regular public park. There is water and electricity at the 24 RV spots with picnic tables and grills ( on the top level), but not at the more primitive tents sites which are spread out on the 2nd and 1st levels in elevation. The 3 restrooms are clean, but no hot water in the showers. No dogs or glass containers allowed.

What a lovely place. Absolutely spectacular. Was blown away by all the features of the place. the pools, the river, the garden. We were lucky enough that our vans were able to make it done to the river side camping area. if you have a vehicle that can do it. its a great spot down there. had a really great time. definitely worth every penny. look forward to hopefully coming back.

I saw a tic toc video about this place at 10pm on a Friday night. I book a RV space right then on the spot and woke up the next morning and drove down from Dallas. I have a 25 ft Regency Coach (small C class RV size) that I was able to enter the property with ease. If you have a 45 ft A class it will be tight. There are not a ton of spaces maybe 24 in total is my guess. And they’re all grass pads with electric and water hook up only. The sewer dump in next to the public restroom and there will be a line if you’re not an early riser. Was it worth it, yes. The cost for a space was reasonable. The ride down from Dallas was priceless during the spring bluebonnet season!!!! The hills and winding roads or so picturesque it’s unreal. Crossing over the Colorado River at Lake Marble Falls was heavenly. I didn’t have time to stop there but I’m going back for Marble Falls. Now back to the campsite. It is a privately owned property and decently kept. A little too tall grass under one of the fifth wheels next to me. That makes me nervous about what’s crawling at the foot of my steps when coming and going. There was no trash in the grounds it was very clean for a semi full park. More dry tent campers than RVs. The best experiences included THE AMAZING HUDGE FIVE FOOT WIND CHIMES hanging in the trees in a garden near the entry. It created the most amazing sound garden experience I’ve ever had. I am master gardener and I’m investing in buying these for my home today! The water falls, ponds and trees are heaven!!! It’s worth at least one night. I don’t see me staying there for days at a time but that’s just me. A wanderer. Only 4 stars because of grass pads and no full hookups for RV. The staff was nice and if I could rate the beauty of the nature likes and falls I’d give it a FIVE separately.

This place is magical, you have to experience the waterfalls, the natural caves and rivers, camping here was so much fun and we created family memories that will last a lifetime. The staff make sure to keep the facilities clean and ready. Loved it here!
