SteveI took this camper from SF up the coast to the redwoods, then from the redwoods to Lassen Volcanic Park, then down through the Sierra Nevada mountains to Yosemite. Explored Samuel P. Taylor State Park, Point Reyes National Seashore, Salt Point State Park, King Range Wilderness, Humbolt Redwoods State Park, Redwoods State and National Parks, Lassen National Volcanic Park, and Yosemite and the camper was a champion the whole time. Went through temps ranging from 25 degrees to 100 degrees. Drove for hundreds of miles along the coast and hundreds of miles through the mountains and the camper was great. I had a trip of a lifetime in that little camper van.
Kate MartinWe had a great adventure around Cali thanks to Escape! We did not anticipate having such a hard time getting campgrounds, so we had to swing for hotels a couple of nights without the electric hookup, but it was all worth it.
Kelly BOh my gosh, we had the BEST time with our campervan! I think the layout is just great! Husband and wife. Bed was great. Heads up that the depot is in Oakland, so really not near SFO. We were very fortunate to have friends who picked us up from the "real" airport and took us over to the depot. Important things to bring: whisk broom, cigarette to USB charger, flashlight/lantern, lightweight sleeping bag. Our bedding kit had a comforter. So lovely and snuggy in Yosemite, but too hot for coastal beach areas. I would absolutely ! rent from this company again!!
KathrynFantastic experience with Escape Campers. The van was spotlessly clean when we picked it up and all the details explained really well. It ran well and was really easy to drive despite being quite a big vehicle (although not by US standards!) Loads of room inside for two sleeping and lots of storage space. That meant it didn’t feel risky to leave it in a parking lot to go out for the day as everything could be packed out of site. Kitchen was very useful and the little fridge was a godsend for storing perishables. We managed to get out to the coast, up to Yosemite and Tahoe and then back via Napa without going over the mileage limit as well. We saw a few of the Escape campers on the way round! Customer service was also great throughout. Can’t recommend Escape campers enough!
